We all know that when you buy something from a garden centre the label sometimes attached to a plant is the wrong one and how frustrating this can be.
I bought a Camellia from my local garden centre in March. The label said that the plant was called Eugenia de Motijo
The problem is all the photos I can find on the internet and the photo on the label looks nothing like the flower the plant is producing. Not that I am complaining. As you can see from the photo below the flower is stunning
A large dark pink flower with a yellow and white centre it catches the eye from yards away. The only problem is that at the moment as you can see below the flowers are to big for the plant and the stems can’t hold them.
So from now on I will have to call it Camellia Big Flower and hopefully some day I will find out what variety it is. I will just ha to keep a lid on my OCD.
It is like when the waitress gets your order wrong, and you are compelled to either complain and waste the food or just enjoy trying something new.
